Looks like Chrysler steps it up again. It specifically mentions my 2015 model year but I am guessing other years are covered? If you have already paid to have this repair they will reimburse you as the back side of this letter has a "Customer Reimbursement Claim Form" a person can fill out.

Original owner 2016 3500 have not received this notification
Mine was replaced at 36,000 under warranty
Just wondering if 2016 gets the extension

Also received this letter today. The return address was: "FCA, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles".

My turbo actuator failed a year ago at about 85K and was replaced under my FCA extended warranty. It did take 9 months to get reimbursed for meals, lodging, etc. for my lovely week stranded in Barstow, CA.

I'll now try to also get my $100 deductible reimbursed.

I have seen several posts on this on other forums ,and all that is mentioned is the 2015 model year, nothing about other years . Haven't heard of anyone other than a 2015 owner getting one of those letters .

I believe a long time member here mentioned this awhile back about the actuators , but so far just the 2015 for some reason .

I have a 2016 2500 with 68RFE, at 43K no problems with Turbo Actuator yet but expect in future hope this is also covered, I do have extended warranty. Any more information here ??

Just gotta wonder if it’s like some recalls ( yes I understand it’s not a recall) only certain years & variations are notified do to parts supply issues. Just like my tailgate recall , no you got a long bed it’s just short ones, then it was long beds , REALLY it’s a LATCH

oh well

Hopefully that's the case , strange they would start with 2015 , you would think possibility since first year of DEF 2013 . But no, 2015 for some reason.

The warranty extensions (2) only apply to 2013-2015 Cab Chassis (X-93 warranty extension) and 2015 2500 and 3500 pickups (X-99) warranty extension. If your truck is involved when the dealer runs a VIP it will show the X-xx warranty extension as part of the warranty coverage section.

They should as if you replaced a water pump when there was a recall they paid even if it was not a Cummins pump.
Speaking of the water pump recall.....I had mine replaced under the recall and coincidentally enough my heat didn't seem to work as it did before. The cooling system was never opened up until the recall. The dealer did a complete system drain and flush but that didn't help. Two years later and several dealer failed attempts to correct and me chasing down actuators, I decided to flush the heater core and that did the trick.

I will flush my heater core soon as they checked actuator function was good but said core was fine. Bad part was previous dealer diagnosed as plugged heater core. But I had to leave.

I’m sure removing both hoses and blasting both ways with a garden hose will fix the issue.
