I have a 1997 5 speed with a # 8 TST cam plate, closed waste gate, afe stage 2, 5"exhaust , boost and pyro gauges

and i was wondering if i would benefit from a new 16 cm turbo housing ? thanks guys

I'd prolly have to agree with Forrest.

I have a 16cm housing, with the mods you see in my profile beolow. My EGT's are OUT OF CONTROL. Just at the point that I'm about to have some fun, I have to let off the go pedal.

so i would like to reduce my egt i can run pretty hard up to 1200-1400* if im feelin crazy i will hold it there for a few seconds ! I dont want to blow the head gaskets but i want a lower egt . I dont know if that makes much sense

get a real turbo if you want to cool it off... a turbine housing isn't going to do THAT much at this point...

BTW, 1400* for a few seconds is nothing...

my old truck would bury 1600* quickly and hold it till I passed the duramax in the next lane ;)

I don't know that I would consider you having an EGT problem. Do you tow? Or are you concerned about your WOT fun run EGT's?

Cooker When i am loaded i always have to back out of the throttle because the egt is gets high when i want to pass the powerjoke or others i can always run 65-75mph no matter the load but some times i want to run a little harder . I do play hard empty i run it up to 1300-1400 for seconds at a time I have had my truck timing set up and that helped the egt i just want to know if ther is a mild turbo upgrade for my egt ?
