Hey guys, was told by a wheel store that Xtreme Alloy rims 16x8 inch with 4. 5 backspace will not fit my 1996 2500. I thought the issue was with the older rims fitting on newer trucks, too tight for the calipers. Will this work on my truck? Thanks for any info

I have 16x8 with 4. 5" backspace on my 99 and they work fine. I'm not sure if our brakes are the same, but I think they are. I have just a standard old one piston caliper brake assembly

Thanks for the reply, I'm pretty sure our set up is close if not exact. Forgot to mention I'm already running 16. 5s with no problems all these years so I find it hard to believe I cannot run 16s. VolsFan those are the exact same specs of wheels I wanted so I think I'm going to with TDR knowledge on this one. Thanks!

Stock on my 95 was 16x8 running 245/75-16 size tires. I don't know what the backspacing was on those rims since now I have the 3rd gen chromies on.
