I had the good fortune to take a ride with Piers today. He has been running his "tuned" P7100 160 HP pump.
All I can say is hang on :--)
I was blown away by the power, smoothness, driveability, and sheer rocket attitude of this thing. Piers is using some uprate injectors, and I think he said his basic turbo, other than that just the pump is tweaked. (Read major R&D'd to do this)
He dragged the RPM down to 1000 in 5th gear, then accelerated up through 3500... smooth as silk, no bucking, belching. Throttle response is massive for this pump, and the smoke happens pretty well only at WOT position. It cleaner than my ole 93 with POD's for Pete's sake
Apparently he has the edge/lead in reworking some internals that have made this pump come alive!
He's making it real hard not to sell my ole' sweety, and get a newer truck
