Hi, I'm a new guy needing alittle help, actually lot of help. First off I'm new to this computer thing & the internet. Haven't quite figured out these dissutions&chats also. anyway back to questions. When you add a 16cm housing do you need to order it with what ever size exhaust system your going to use or are they all the same as far as matching to the down pipe size or is the down pipe reduced to fit the housing. An inquireing mind wants to konw. Thanks. Just bought a 93 ext cab dually stock auto, 3. 54 diff. from calif. it now resides in Queen Creek,Ariz hot here.

16cm^2 non-wastegated housing is only going to come with one size outlet. Any stock or aftermarket exhaust for up to a 93 CTD should bolt up to it just fine.

When you start looking at waste-gated housings, then you are looking at some mods to get it to fit.

16cm housing&exhaust system

Cdegner, Thanks so much for the responce I appreciate it. I woundred somewhere I seen a housing with a big exhuast opening but it didn't say what it was so this really helps, now I don't feel quite so dumbbbb. Thanks again. Now there is still the thing about figureing out all the things that make this forum so neat and chat room too manny options its hard to understand it all. Hope I don't offend anyone in the prosses of learning the ins&outs. Hope to talk to you again. From Queen Creek Adios.

PLandon, your okay. I've been a member for over a year and i still ask stupid questions! Welcome to TDR, we need some more 1st gens.

As far as your questions go. I love my 16cm housing, itworks very well for towing and hauling, and also for heavily fueled trucks. How would I know about that:rolleyes:

It's a good thing you have a 93, my non-intercooled 91 does not like hot temps.

Hey Steve,

What type of injectors you running to get 35psi out of a non-intercooled 91? I thought I was doing pretty good at 22psi and still have to advance my pump timing.

Obviously, I still have a ways to go!

Gonna love that 16cm!!!

Installed the 16cm housing on the 1989 brownie back in February - should have done it years ago! After the install I turned in the fuel screw a bit and WOW! it is a completely different truck. Ever tried to accelerate when you'd left the emergency brake on and then how much faster acceleration happened after you released the brake? Pretty much the same effect after these mods! Bombs away!!!

INJECTORS:eek: What injectors? Haha.

Only set of injectors in my truck is the ones it came with, stock. Although they are slightly bigger than intercooled heads, the non-intercooled heads came with 9mm inj. holes, intercooled-7mm.

I think some of our 1st gen gurus could explain this better. My truck is heavily fueled:eek:  Probably too much, I'm probably killing my pump. But man, she runs like a scalded dog. :D :D
