Hi guys: Today I,d install the 16cm2 housing . It really wasn,t what I. m expected but I already
bought anyway, and also took me about 2 horas to change it was easy. I just drove 10 miles
empty, may be when I pull the trailer I really notes the different.

93 dodge 3/4 ton auto K&N ,PW injectors, 16cm2 housing.

If you decide to upgrade to a 14 or 12, I will buy it from you for Mom's 92. Email me if you do that. puckett@semo.net It is a bit sluggish with a big load, and smokes a little. I figure a 16 ought to clean it up and add a little zip. I plan to buy one anyway in a few weeks, after a few paydays.

My 16cm2 housing didn't blow me away at first either. Small perceived increase in acceleration. Changed from an 18cm2.

However, the turbo lag was reduced noticably, that was huge while towing. Getting the load moving is much nicer.

The biggest thing I got out of this was that my tweaked pump settings were no longer generating black smoke. That meant boost was there sooner, and went up. So I got to add more fuel. You will definately notice that one!

Finally, the torque curve seems longer and flatter. Big while towing. Makes sense too if the turbo spool up is faster, the curve will look better.

Hey Julio, sorry to hear that the turbine didn't wake it up more. Maybe you need to pull with it first like norby said to see if you notice a difference. I'm at a loss as to what the problem is. Like Cody said at the last meeting, you may need to have your pump looked at, but by who I don't know. It's a shame that in a city as big as Houston we can't find someone who knows more than just the basics about these pumps and their settings. Good luck.

Guys,

I think alot of people notice mediocre improvements with the 16 cm housings. The reason alot of folks run them ove rhte 14cm wastegate housings is because they're cheap (the housings, not the purchasers). The 14 is a little more expensive, but it is the way to go. The 14 cm houisngs on these trucks have great lowend performance, but if you have 4. 10 gears and are going to "high speed" the engine, the 16 is the way to go. Let meknow if you need either. I run the 14 and love them, I just changed my 99 to a 14 also. The 12 is too small for much power gains witohut heat. Please email me if you think you need a different housing.

thanks
Don
