With the chrome clad, you can get a mud goober stuck between the steel wheel and the cladding, which throws off the balance of the wheel. I had that happen once while I was out-of-town and couldn't wash the mud out at the do it yourself car wash. I ended up driving a couple hundred miles before I could properly clean it out. For that reason alone I would do that deal in a heartbeat.

Anybody with some good pics of the Bighorn wheels on their rig? I think that's my current favorite, unless I find a killer deal on some others. Couple sets locally for $600, wish they were closer to $400 at least. Soooo many sets of the chrome clad wheels for sale - I'll have a hard time getting rid of mine, hahaha

That looks great! How much does powdercoating run per wheel?

You know I can't remember exactly but I want to say it was right at $100 per wheel. Also you'll want to find the "black out" edition truck plastic pop in center caps. They where about another $100. I also had the lugs coated, but if I would have known they are a two piece cap on lug style I would have gone straight to the aftermarket. I have some McGard black lugs that are going on soon.

Being 75 I am a bit out of touch, so I have to ask, do people with black rims also wear hoodies? View attachment 115756
SnoKing; I am 70 and I have black wheels for my towing tires. The Nitto Dura Grappler Tires fill up the tire openings better than the stock tires do! The Black wheels with the Black Fender Flares on the Silver body looks good. In the winter months I remove them and install my stock rims with the stock size Michelin tires on the truck. When I do that the stock tires and rims look tiny in the opening.

And no I don't wear a hoodie!

Most 17" tires do look small, being the step child of tires, not much available anymore!
