180 vrs. 190 Thermostat

Just recieved some parts from a supplier, (Hoses, thermostst,ect. ) and didn't check them but they sent a 180 degree thermo, didn't even know there was one made, Temp is down quite on the gage from what I'm used to. Will I create any problems using the 180 instead of a 190.

The early trucks used 180's. midway through the 24v they went to 190 and greater. Warmer is more eficient

Only one noticable difference after a weeks driving around - - call it hack driving - - - with the 180 thermostat I lost 4. 5 MPG -- question I have it this normal? I was considering leavin the 180 in for the summer BUT if this is going to be the normal I'll put the 190 back it next week - - - anybody got any ideas or suggestions?

Put the 190 back in. The engine is tuned to run at the warmer temps for emisisons. Now it is trying to play catch up.

I installed the 180 degree thermo when it came from the supplier - - - the only noticable difference other then running cooler, is the fuel mileage dropped 4. 5 MPG - - - if this is normal them I'll go back the 190 degree thermo- - -Is this change normal? If it is I will get a 190 and reinstall it Can someone give me some suggestions?
