How to temporarily test fuel pressure?

Low Idle/Low Power, on an '89

I just picked up a 92 W250 5 speed with Lucas PODS . it's fast as hell but smokes a bit much for me and I'd like a bit more economy. tightened up the diaphram spring but you really have to tread lightly on the loud pedal to keep it clean till the boost comes up(HX35W14CM waistegated housing + Banks exhaust). I can peg 30lbs boost with plenty left...

I like the way my 93 runs with 185s but I'm not likely to spend the money they want for those now. . They are crisp and clean with pretty good power. Do the 190s compare well to the 185s or are they putting in unburned fuel like by tip design like the PODS (obviously) do?. . are there any other injector builders making clean burning good power injectors. . I hate throwing unburned diesel outta my tailpipe(Timing is advanced and the lock collar is still on). . Thanks for any info... .

I'll be flipping these PODS when I find something good enough... .

I wish there was an easy way to trade you my 185's for your POD's. You don't happen to have a majic wand do ya? I WANT MORE... . (POWER)... ... ...

IIRC, MMiller has 190s in his '93. Depending on the way the pump is tuned, they can still make smoke, or not. His pump isn't stock, so he can smoke a little. :)

I might be willing to trade you. The 185's don't work in the early non-IC trucks all that great, so I've always wanted to put something bigger back in. My truck is down anyways, so the timing works well for me. Sent you a PM.

I have the Bully Dog +50s... they don't smoke at all at idle and I can adjust so they don't smoke under "normal" acceleration... :-laf

But with the hammer down I can rid myself of tailgators in a heartbeat.
