Those look nice Jim, as far as I can tell in the pic :)

Do you have the offset and backspace specs for those? I know the Ricksons are expensive but at least the ones coming out have the proper specs and thus the tires will stay tucked inside the fenderwells (unlike most of the aftermarket wheels out there).

Well I looked all over the 'net and can't find a darned thing about Vision wheels :( Les Schwab doesn't have them on their site.

These are 7. 5" rims and it appears that the offset favors outward somewhat. My tires are about 1/4" outside of the wheel fairing. I'm sure they set up this way to allow larger tire sizes to be installed without inside clearance issues. I think you could go up to 265 70's before having an inside problem.

It's a brand new line for them. They have it in their brochure, but probably haven't got it on their site yet. The store in Grants Pass Oregon had them in stock and have sold several sets. You might call them to get the specs.

265/70/19. 5's will clear on a stock 03 4x4 but it's tight. They are 34" tall. Most guys go with 245/70/19. 5's which seem to have no clearance issues and tape out at about 33".

To maintain the same tire diameter and gear ratio I put 225 70R 19. 5 tires on. This is because of the size of load I pull. If you aren't pulling such a large load I recommend the 245 70R 19. 5 or even the 265's if you aren't pulling a load at all.

Assuming those are aluminum wheels, what does the combo (with the 225's) weigh? Do you know what the wheel itself weighs and what it's load capacity is? Thanks, George

I don't know the exact weight of the wheels. When I picked them up they felt fairly close in weight to the stock steel wheel. However, the tire is heavier so I would guess the tire/rim combo to be 10-15 lbs heavier.

The wheels are rated for 4500 lbs each.

Jim could you take a couple more pics, including a view mostly from the front or rear so I can get an idea how far they protrude out? I think the wheels look good.

I have always wished there was a 60 series tire in the 19. 5" category so I could run 265s or 285s without getting real tall. I'm not wild about the skinny 245s let alone the 225 variety.

I want the height with my 4x4 and plan to get 285/70/19. 5's when I find an aluminum wheel that I'm happy with. Rickson says they aren't going to make them and Alcoa now says November.

I here you Vaughn. I would have gone with 245's or 265's except the whole purpose was to improve my trailering performance.

I need to recover my digital camera from my daughter. I'll try to get them up later today.

For those of you in the Pacific Northwest and have the ability to stop by a Les Schwab, check out page 12 of their new brochure - vol. 18 (lower right hand corner) . The Vision Type 81/Pete 19. 5 is featured. Here's the specs in the brochure:

Machined and Clear Coated Finish

19. 5x7. 5

4500 lbs. Load Rated

8 Lug Single Axle Application

Or, go to the following link and download the catalog... turn about 5 pages and the Vision wheel will be under the blue Chevy. Click on the wheel for details.

An enhanced pic... .

Do these come with center caps? Can you reuse facory ones or aftermarket? Is the offset indeed zero, netting a 3. 75BS?

I'm not sure about the offset issue except to say that they do stick out somewhat. I actually got out a ruler and measured 1/2" beyond the fender well with the 225 70 19. 5's. Larger tires will extend more.

I think if I were to go with bigger tires than what I have I'd install a set of the wheel well fairings to make things look right.

They include their own custom inserts as shown in the piture. Stock inserts will not work.
