19.5 wheel/tire plastic inner fender (front) well splash pan (2x4) modification?
19. 5 wheel/tire plastic inner fender (front) well splash pan (2x4) modification?
I plan on upgrading my tires/wheels to 19. 5s. I need to move the plastic inner fender well splash pan about ½-inch to 1-inch to clear the 245 tires. I only need this clearance in the bottom 4-inches of the splash pan.
Has anyone modified the plastic inner fender well splash pan? If so, how?
I considered heat, or even cutting out a section a riveting (or gluing) a patch.
I hope there is clearance behind the pan to allow this modification.
I could use your thoughts so I can "gett'er done".
