19.5 wheel Update????

TDR Members,



Do you have any new info on the 19. 5 wheels? I know some threads talked about possible using UPS wheels and one said he was sending away some steel hubs for conversion. Many others are looking into this I am sure. Some of us were looking for an inexpensive alternative to ones such as Ricksons.



Could you that have found out new info give us an update.

I had been checking into it,and have still come up empty. The UPS wheels,which were made by Hayes Lemmerz (Kelsey-Hayes),but are no longer in production. There was also a company here in Canada (Palmer) that made some,but they are out of stock as well. No date for next production run. I have located one that will work,but the load rating is only 2600 lbs,and it is rated for trailer use only. Have called just about every rim manufacturer and supplier in North America,so far nothing cheap. Only Rickson,and Stockton Wheel. Both are very pricey,but they do have them.



Still waiting on a call back from the UPS maintenance shop as to where I could purchase some new or used wheels.



I am still looking for something inexpensive as well,so if anyone else has some info,lets hear it.
