Hey all-

Just curious if anybody out there is running the 19. 5" Alcoas that I've seen advertised in TDR Mag? If so, how do you like them? I'm about 10K mi from new tires, and since I'm starting to look, I thought I'd factor in a whole new setup if it's the way to go.

TIA-
Chris

I put them on my truck last July. I hauled a 10-9 Lance camper to Colorado last October. With the Rancho 9000 shocks, it was the best suspension modification I could have ever made. The truck is very sure footed now. Corners, lane changes, rough roads - I sometimes forget I'm carrying a 4,000 lb. camper. I ordered the truck with 4. 10 rear knowing that the wheels and tires were going to be my first big modification. Even with some minor hassles I had, the cost, etc. , I'd do it again! Now if I could only get Chrysler to update the DBR tool to correct the speedometer, I'd be a happy camper!!!

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the only drawback to the wheels and tires I bought (besides the cost that is). The tread is 2" past the fender well which makes the sidewall about 3" past the fender. I've looked and a number of flares and I just don't like the looks of them. I tried to have the fenders extended, but they are made out of plastic! Fiberglass won't stick for long. So now I'm looking at having some new fiberglass fenders built to match the originals, only wider. FYI.
