I read the ad. I wonder if you are dealing with fully reputable folks when I see poor English and extensive disclaimers but, if they are aluminum alloys and they can furnish wheels that are lug centric (Or have a complete explanation as to how they may be fitted to our trucks) that are indeed proper for the first gens, then go for it.

We have a set on a one ton GMC (hub centric) and like them quite well. They are not alloys and were on a cracker truck originally. The GMC is a FWD service truck that isn't loaded so very heavy and the bigger diameter tires along with the Cummins and Dodge OD transmission get the engine speed waaay down.

EDIT: $1300 per wheel and six wheels. Seven thousand eight hundred dollars. Guess I would have to rob a bank.

WOW 1300 each and they call them americans in the text but have a picture showing Eagles... . They would have to try pretty hard for me to take them seriously.....

I can't tell if the price is for one rim, 'cause under quantity it says 4 available. I don't know that they are represented well. "We got a whole container" something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

18x9. 5 in. American Eagle 186 for $189 at National Tire and Wheel.

Also send him a email. Tell him you want to see a pic of the DOT markings. If it is made by any of the big wheel MFG's it will carry a DOT rating in cast letters somewhere.

Tell him to post in the add.

This is what it says at the very bottom. It sounds like 1 for sale at the top of the page and 4 at the bottom. Confusing to say the least.

Seller's payment instructions

I. You are bidding on 4 brand new American Eagle 19. 5" polished Dually rims.

Why are you bidding on 4 dually rims? Dont you need 6 for a dually?:-laf How will they fit the Ford metric AND Dod/GM SAE? ANswer me that riddle.

If I were serious about it, I'd get on Rickson's wating list, or find someone else just as reputable. I think they are only $2500 for a complete set, bolt on.

Has any body looked into running the Steel 19. 5's that are on Gm P-30 bread vans. They have a standard 8x6. 5 bolt pattern. I'am sure they can be had pretty cheap with tires from the guys buyng the vans for the 4BT's

CKeck

If you do a search the 19. 5's for the P series vans has been talked about. The hard part is finding the rims. There are a lot of vans being parted out. But the tires/rims never show up for sale for some reason.

Now myself. I don't want a 19. 5 steel rim on the front of my truck. It was bad enough with the 16" steels. The best improvement in ride I got was when I installed my alumn rims.

Also welcome to the TDR.

For you guys not running dualls here is some 19. 5's.
