1929 Cadillac

This thing just oozes class! You really had life by the kahoonas if you got to ride in the back seat of one of these.
Notice the hole at the bottom of the grill and two spares, probably a good indicator of the durability of tires at the time. Those are leather straps holding the mirrors on. The cooler sized trunk was probably a luxury add on.
They had the car locked up but it looked like 6500 miles on the odometer. Supposedly gets driven occasionally for weddings and special events.

Ahhhh the good old days I had a 1930 Cadillac with a V12 motor took me 8 years to restore and it was my Sunday cruising machine very sad day when i was forced to sell it to pay medical bills

Interesting, I didn't know the v12's were implemented that early. The one in the picture is a V8, something like 340CI. I believe the V12's were of similar displacement which makes me wonder what the advantages of going more cylinders was. Especially given the inefficiencies of engines of the time.

Cadillac introduced the V12 in Jan 1930 and I believe the V16 came out in 1932....back in those days the quality of fuel was a big issue
I know my V12 was very smooth running you could put a full glass of water on it and not spill a drop
None of the early motors made good horsepower I believe Packard motors made the best horsepower
My Cadillac could cruise all day long at 65 mph but anything over that it wanted to start overheating. ... I loved working on that car everything was simple and easy to fix unlike the computer controlled cars today back in those days all you needed to fix a car was a PHD (post hole digger) lol

That's Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. That car has been there since at least 1996. We had our honeymoon there, and had shots taken with the car.*
I was near it 2 years ago almost to the week. I noticed it had '70's Chrysler pin type disc brakes up front. I don't know if other parts of the car are modernized.*
It's a beauty nonetheless.*

We took the boat home from the park last night. Couldn't have timed it any better as they were lighting off fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. Talk about a bird's eye view!

I gotta admit, we are all out of our element here a bit (read : COUNTRY FOLK ) but this is definitely a neat place to visit. Total first class establishment.

Be sure to do the "hoop de do revue" dinner if you can get seats. It's on the far other side of the lagoons.*

No thanks! Citricos was pricey enough for us. We walked in the first night we were there not knowing what we were getting into. The food was great but dang! Victoria and Albert's definitely appears to be a step above Citricos.

Yesterday was a low key day, the wife had a conference she had to attend in the am and a dinner last night. So me n the boys decided to grab an Uber ride to Disney Springs and walk around for a bit. We ate at Planet Hollywood and caught a show at the cirque du soleil.
You could wander around this place for months and still not see everything! And they're constantly building from the looks of things.

I've never, but I hear there's a VIP style tour of the train roundhouse that houses the train that circles the MK. Gotta do that someday.
