Suspension rebuilds (like the Lincoln’s of the era) are said to $$$

Great looking (Dad had a Q-code ‘66), but thirsty & slow.

He traded it for an every-option ‘67 Riviera GS.

Everything the T-bird promised but couldn’t deliver (in driving).

Ford finally admitted they couldn’t design an automatic transmission. Licensed a version of the first and the best: TorqFlite. Called the C6. If that can be retrofitted, it’d be my choice

The FE motors have lousy induction. Long-lived & reliable, but need a wake-up for being in a car.

True wire wheels look great on your era car. Just not giant whitewalls.

Its amazing how clear things become after 50 some odd years of hind sight! This one isnt going to get much. A disc brake conversion and the transmission reverse problem resolved. Unfortunately I've come down with a super horrible global flu! #Wutangflu!!!! Dangit

Wow only 36 cases in Alaska and you are one of them?

The pictures you posted was showing some body cancer, are you going to try to reverse that and paint the body? Also, as far as the old classics go, when you get away from stock the value will drop, are you just improving it, just enough to get drive-able?

Dad has a 66, which I had for a while, and granddad before me.

They are fun, bulky, heavy, and smooth riding.

It also has a 390, with a C6. The C6 is stock, as far as we know but the engine was rebuilt about 15 years ago.
We could retire in luxury with the present day value of some of these cars that ended up in junkyards back then.

It's only got a smidgen on rust behind the rear tires. Anything else that looks like rust is actually moss growing. I'm going to repair the rust and throw a cheap paint job on it.

Yep, ended up with Covid19. The stuff ran through my shop. 11 people and only 3 had no symptoms. Drs have told me the stuff has been here since december. Lots and lots of folks that have it and are undiagnosed.

Found out why the old Tbird didnt have much for reverse.....somebody had the shift linkage so far out of whack it pulled the spool valve out of the valve body. As soon as I dropped the pan I saw it.

Yikes Don! I’m just catching up here. You had quite a stretch of hi temps! Did you loose your sense of taste/ smell?
I’m glad you are back in action. good find with that spool. It’s a C6?

Hi Wayne, had fever fever for 15 days above 100. Lost sense of taste and smell, bad headache and other odd symptoms. Cough started at week two and still hacking today. Public health nurse said expect cough for months. If you get it, GATORADE OR PEDIALITE! Don’t get dehydrated.

Transmission is a medium case Cruise-O-Matic. It had been “rebuilt” by a local old timer that’s pickled most of the time. He used to be really good but has lost his touch.

Don, did you bring it home to any family members? Maybe you should start a thread under "other" and share more of you experience. Hospital yes or no etc.

Current numbers
Alaska
Confirmed 272
Recovered 66
Deaths 8

We aren't sure. There are about 4 different directions this could have come from as many of my coworkers, wife and daughter all came down with it in a similar time frame. No hospital stay, they were adamant about me staying home unless trouble breathing.

The confirmed numbers should totally be thrown out the window. There are many thousands of folks that have had this and not been tested. Deaths are now at 9 as one of my customer's wife just passed due to covid19 and many other underlying health problems she had been fighting for some time.
