Ya me and Dan called him last night. He said he turned down an offer of $8000.

Its a no engine/no transmission car. I think thats more then Dan is looking to spend to be honest. We'll see what happens tho.....

Thanks for mentioning the car tho. <font size=-2>

That car looks clean from this pics it does have the 71 grille in it, 72 is way different. 340 6 pak convertables were never made. The 340+6 was only available in 1970 in a Challenger T/A or the Cuda AAR package. 6 paks are hard to tune and don't run as good as a 4bbl. . but do look sweet! If your going to play on the street and the track ocasionaly your 340 choice is perfect. I have munched more 383 and 440 cars than i can count with my 340. Have fun... there is a machine shop Here in tulsa that has a TON of Mopar stuff... let me know what you are looking for.

Yeah but they forgot to put a blower pulley that would make power on it. Look at that pulley... its like the size of the front wheel lol. Sorry i just can't stand cars with Show Blow Blowers on them. The car does look sweet though. Just need to knock a few inches off that blower pulley #ad

illflem,

He's running fuel injection instead of carbs.
An electronically
controlled gasoline fuel
injection system designed
specifically for supercharged vehicles. Similar to the Top Fuel setup. Just the 'Bug catcher hat' and all the nessessary components are about 3 grand right there. #ad

Bad340fish,

I know what you mean. Thats a classic. The guy decides to put a blower on after his engine is built or is still stock. His compression is already high, so he runs the blower 90% underdriven so his motor won't detonate. Probably getting about 2 or 3 lbs boost max. A saw a T-Bucket at cruise night once where he had the blower spinning at about 1/16 crankshaft speed. You could read the writing on the belt when that part came around. #ad

It took about 10 seconds for the blower to make 1 revolution #ad

You gotta still love Huffers though. The whine from one thats spinning is music to the ears. #ad

Yes I purchased the car, just haven't got it here yet. Still working on that. And his description was very close, a few minor dings here and there but foe a 30 year old orginal car I am not concerned with it. I gave him the full $4500 he was asking because while I was having people look at it he turned down offers of the same amount from people that didn't care what it looked like they wanted to pick it up the next day! SO I feel fortunate he hung onto it for me and was patient with me. He told me he wanted the car to goto someone who is genuinly interested, and not in it to make money, so low and behold its mine! Hehe.

I'll post some pictures once I get it here.
