Help transmission questions on my crew cab project

Cummins V8 in a WHAT ?

I am installing a 24 valve in my truck and have a trans dilemma i was hoping someone could help me with. the truck has a divorced transfer case, i want to convert to an automatic. I would like to use a 47rh or a 47re. Im wondering if a two wheel trans is short enough to use. or if i have to go 4 wheel transmission and use the dodge transfer case also. I have a nv 4500 in the truck now out of a two wheel drive .

You can keep it divorced if you like just cut drive linees to needed lengh , since that one dont move theres no issues

Pics post Pics! That's an awesome truck always liked the look of it, of course it's not as nice as an old school (1972-1993) Dodge

My concern is how long a two wheel drive trans is in length. I can cut the drive line that is no problem but alot of two wheel drive tranmissions have long tail shafts and will hit the transfer case. I have been unable to find length specs on the two wheel drive 47re or 47rh trans. I have looked into adapters to put a ford 2 wheel drive trans behind it but they are to long.
