Got a ? for you guys

I have an '89 Ramcharger 4x4 and I was thinking of a Cummins conversion, but I have been thinking of a 4BT. Do you think the Dana 44 / Chrysler 9. 25 will hold up? I am planning on 10" lift and 38" tires w/ 4. 56 gears. Will go 4. 10's if I go with a 4BT.

Will the 727 trans. bolt up and hold up to the power?

1. dana 44 is not good for any engine over 35"tires.

2. the 6bt is close to a bolt in if you get a 89-93 donor truck.

3. the diesel 727 trans has a different bellhouseing bolt pattern than the gas.

i would find a 4x4 donor truck wrecked or something and you would have the near perfect drivetrain. 6bt,727 trans, dana 60 front, 70 rear, and a married np 205 t-case. i will give dodge 1 thing they built 1 hell of 4x4 89-93.
