1989 D250 ? what do you think?

Hi, All I am new here



I found a 1989 D250 for sale close by me it is in good condition with no major rust It has the 5. 9 cummins with 218,655 miles on it and it has the automatic transmission it however is 2wd.



I would really like to find a 90-93 4x4 but the price on 1989 is really cheap.



My question is is it possible to convert it to 4wd without major problems?



since this is the first year for the 5. 9 cummins in the dodge is there any thing i should look for ?

If you have your heart set on a 4x4 I'd keep looking. Other wise enjoy the truck the way it is.

I would want a 91. 5-93. They are intercooled and have a larger cooling system.

2X4 to 4X4, can be done, but get out your wallet. If you need more info let me know, I have been ther and done that . Also the 89 Cummins has LARGER injectors (9mm vs 7mm) and higher compression ratio than a 1991. 5 and up. Welcome to the group.
