I am looking at a 1989 4 speed with 32,000 original miles. Owner is a mechanic and has used for light towing/pleasure. I know it only has 32,000 and not 132,000. Paint gray and is badly faded but rest of truck seems mint. What would you pay, blue book is 4,200 but i think it is worth double that what do you think??

That sounds like a great truck. My only hesitation would be that it has too few miles - did it get enough exercise in its life? Or are you going to have to change all of the rubber parts and have trouble with all of the gaskets leaking, etc? Either way, if you can get it for the right price I would grab it - it would be a fun project.

I don't know about the gaskets etc. The gentleman that owns it is very meticulous mechanically. I will go check it out more tommorrow. Any places on the engine to look for leaks etc. I have a see sig, and don,t know much about 1st gen.
