Trailer or 5Th wheel -- please help

Have any of you had any experiences with a 1990 Wilderness Yukon 29' Bunkhouse Travel Trailer? I'm going to look at one tomorrow could use a few pointers on what to check out or lookout for. Any help would be appreciated.

My uncle has an 88 or 89 model Yukon TT in the neighborhood of 29'. He loves it, says it tows fantastic. So much better than his newer trailer that he prefers to use the older one. The only reason he bought a newer trailer was that the Yukon was getting pretty worn from dogs and camping in the woods alot. To my knowledge he has never had any real problems with it either. Not much help, but a bit of a second-hand testimonial.

I have an 02 Wilderness Yukon ultralight.

It's been a good trailer for the $$$.

I had a few warranty issues... ... ... . that werent taken care of, but otherwise I'm happy.

We had a used Yukon somewhere within a few years of a 1990--can't remember. Found out it leaked since built around the moulding at the back corner--aluminum from the sides hadn't wrapped around the back enough--left bare wood. Lost the back 6' of the trailer to water damage. Carefully check for leaks, soft spots, etc. Repair man told us to back screws out of used trailers to see if they are rusty. Ours sure were!

wilderness yukon

I bought an '88 19ft Wilderness Yukon in '97. Its the only TT I've ever had. Ive put about 25,000 miles on it and haven't had a bit of trouble. Well, I did get a little dry rot up front one year that cost me about $300 to get fixed. But that was my fault. I went for quite a few years without getting it recaulked. Now I get that done every couple of years.
