1991 transmission

Did all the '91 CTD's have a 518 transmission or did they change over to it during the model year?

I ask because I'm going to swap a 518 into my '89 CTD 4x4 and found a set of driveshafts on e-bay for a '91 CTD 4x4. If they are the right ones it would easier than modifing my old ones from 727 to 518.

They changed at the half year mark. That is why you see people talking about the 91. 5 models. They added the A518 and intercooler and cross flow raditor. It was a pretty big change for the middle of the model year.
