My 92 will run for about 300 miles and then starves for fuel and shuts off I can bleed the injectors and then it will run fine again for awhile anybody got any ideas where the air is getting in ?

Thanks Shaun

Doesn't mean there is air getting in if is starving for fuel. Normally, if you have a leak that is pulling in air it all the time and you will have to bleed it every time you start.

Are you having starting problems at all? When was the fuel filter changed last?

A fuel pressure gauge to validate you are getting fuel when it dies will help determine a lot.

It starts fine and runs fine for a couple days then starves for fuel and dies changed the filter a couple times thinking it was just a plugged fuel filter

Does it always work better after changing the filter? Check your fuel heater tightness and the where the wires come out of the heater. Might be getting loose or starting to leak there.

Where is the fuel heater ? I've tried two different fuel caps doesn't help filter doesn't change a thing

The tank is vented to atmosphere, a fuel cap has no functon other than plugging the hole.

The fuel heater is the back spacer above where the fuel filter spins on. There should be a set of wires coming off the back of it that cause the problems when they crack around the seal. Fuel heater is held on but the fuel filter threaded mount. Inside is a straight blade slot that allows it to unthread and the fuel heater comes off. There is a square cut gasket that seals the heater to the base that can leak also but usualy you see fuel from it.

You might want to look into how your LP is performing. If it has nt been changed in your memory it is possible it is getting weak.

Can I bypass the fuel heater ? I can't get the threaded filter part to come out I think I can get it but I don't think it will be in very good shape can I get a new fuel heater ?
Thanks Shaun

I think the parts are still available but you would need to check that. IIRC, you can just pull the fuel heater and use the mounting boss without heater. Check the 1st gen section for the how to, Pretty sure it is in there somewhere.
