Attention: TDR Forum Junkies My friend has a 1992 that developed a problem yesterday. He was driving down the freeway with the cruise on and it started increasing speed. He then found that the throttle had no effect on the engine and it now will not idle and wants to rev up all the time. He's checked the throttle linkage and it appears to be working okay. He's wondering if something in the pump broke which is making it rev up all the time. He managed to drive it home but has to shut it off at each stop since the engine only wants to run at top speed.
Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?
