Very Nice Restored Dodge Van For Sale On The Web

I came across a '94 Intrepid ES in excellent condition for $1,800 with about 120K on it. Has a V6. Original owner with full maintenance records. Looks brand new. Thinking it would be great for my son to drive to school next year. Anyone had any experience with Intrepids? Are they any good? After all it is a 19 year old car.

I've only owned Dodge trucks and do not know much about Mopar cars in that era.

My wife had a 95 Intrepid. It was one of the best vehichles we ever owned. The only money we spent on it was for routine maintenance. Her Intrepid had the standard engine, a 3. 3l I think. The optional engine a 3. 5l had lots of scoot but they will lose the water pump which usually takes out the timing belt and is fairly costly to repair. They are a good car even if they are old. We couldn't get anything for ours so we gave it to our son for the grand kids to use.

I drive a 94 Chrysler Concorde, and it is just like brand new. It has the 3. 5 engine in it. I just had the spark plugs replaced and the injectors renewed. I can get over 30mph on the highway, and around 19 around town. The car has about 178k miles on it. and it runs as smooth as a kitten. Compared to the new cars, this car has great drivers visibility, and has lots of pep. If it is in great condition, I would say buy it.

I have heard that the 3. 3 had engine problems. Know two people who had then & both lost engine. I had a 02 Chrysler Concorde with the 3. 5 & had no problems with 125,00 Miles when I traded it for a 2010 Dodge Journey.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the guy who was holding it for me decided to sell it. Back to the drawing board.
