My 1995 2500 has 275000 miles on it. Lift pump installed at Dodge dealer 2 year ago been running find. Now this truck sits most of the time.
Seems like it starts the same but runs a 3-10 seconds, runs like it is missing 1-2 seconds then dies. Start it right back up and it is OK the rest of the day. Is something going bad?

Replace both fuel lines. Sounds like your loosing your prime. The two that go from the frame to the engine. Or- might just be the return line. They act like this when the fuel bleeds off and is replaced by air.

Thanks

I will try to replace them tomorrow or Sunday.
Thanks for your Time and Help.

MLee,
The supply line that goes from the frame to the lift pump had a lot of cracks. I could see the white lining through the cracks.(fuel heater was all ready out of the loop)
Replaced with Genos line. Used the manual pump to get solid fuel to come out the Fuel filter.
She started real quick and kept running. This is a good sign. I might have fixed my problem?
The return line is a braded line so i'm thinking this is not the orginal line.
I still need to change it and the two short lines going to the tank soon. RMcKinney

You didn't let the truck sit for year did you? Good for you. That wasn't hard was it. Now,,,, if it has not been done DO THE KDP, you are lucky thus far that the pin has not dropped out. Its just a 4 hr job start to finish.

Worried about how much fuel would come out

The truck set about 2 weeks before changed the feed line.
My plan is to run teh fuel out to 1/8 fuel to makin it easier to handle then drop the tank to add new line to the tank fittings.
My Killer Pin had the cover plate installed a long time ago.
