1995 Ram Dowel Pin

Does anyone know if the killer dowel pin was a problem on the 1995 engines? I have a friend who's truck is in the shop for an oil leak repair. They told him the timing case is cracked, and was probably caused from an earlier accident. I told him it was probably due to the dowel pin problem, but would like to find something in writing for him to show the dealer. Are there any TSB's on this? From Chrysler, or Cummins? I did a search on this site, with no luck. I need to find something for him by tomorrow morning . Thanks, Ron

From what I read in the various posts, all 12V engines with the P7100 pump are threatened with this problem. I fixed mine so I don't have to worry about it anymore.
