:--) Transmission shifts out of gear unexpectantly, always when driving a slow speeds or stopping. I thought it was the cold weather but it happened while drinving through Walmart parking lot. crossing a median, seems to be something elect.



96K on engine and transmission; have been well maintained.

You do not provide any info on your truck, i. e. , 4WD, Auto, modifications. Many here are SHARP, but all must have something to go on.

Is that the same truck I was just working on? It was the first automatic I ever drove... . I hate those things!!!

Same problem here.

Mine did the exact same thing. at random times.

I had to add 1 quart of transmission fluid.

It was a tad over 1 quart low.

Has not done it since.
