I was in a hurry to leave town and had a Pennzoil dealer change my oil. Of course I immediately left town and 450 miles down the road at a fuel stop, I noticed oil dripping from the oil pan plug.

Just had my oil changed at my dodge dealer and still have the leak it appears the Pennzoil boys not only fractured the drain plug but also cracked the oil pan at the drain.

Now I'm looking at a $1000. 00 oil pan replacement. Anybody else had this problem? The Pennzoil man says no way they cracked anything, to bad for me. I am thinking of suing him for damages, anyone else had this happen to them?

Sounds like a JIFFY LUBE type job.

They changed oil on oir TDI once and said they couldn't get the oil filter to fit(they were trying to swrew on a gas engine oil filter)

After they drained out all the oil, they reinstalled to OLD oil filter and put in the WRONG grade of oil(10-30) THEM tried to proceed with charging us for the whole affair!!

I especially like their BS technique of showing the customer the air filter to explain if it needs changed or not. Real; SCUM BAG operation!! Sounds like the same crap at the PENNZOIL quick lube... ... ... ... ... ... ... but then again I would expect no less from Pennzoil, THEY SUCK!!

When my truck was relativly new the stealer stripped out my pan and had to change it. Very involved job, raise up engine, disconect driveshaft, free up transmission and transfer case... . all to get the pan down. I would take them to small claims court for the damages. If you have a reciept of the last oil change, with the milege written on it , and the milege on the screw up oil change reciept I would tend to think you had a case:confused: Good Luck and for now on just do it yourself. Go into Genos Garage and get one of the drains with the ball valve so you don't have to take the plug out anymore, it also saves time.

I've known several people who have driven (only a little way) from Jiffy Lube with no oil in the their rig. Jiffy always refused to pay, but when taken to small claims court they don't show up and you win. It's just their mode of operation, they figure they're ahead because a large percent of people won't mess with court. Problem is you're going to have to pay with your dime and wait to get reimbursed.

I had a friend that worked at Jiffy lube and they always lost in small claims court even when they got scammed by the customer. Take em to court.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but I suprised that the Pennzoil didn't get thick and gummy and stop up the leak.

Did YOU actually see a crack in the oil pan?

I know it is possible to break off the flange of the plug, but a crack in the pan is a new one.
