Competition Do you drag race?

Stumbled on the old tape, I think I bought it when I first joined TDR.

A few things I noticed on this tape.

Nobody is under the age of 50.

Not a whiff of black smoke anywhere, nadda. Zip. Nothing. Not a wisp.

Everybody was having a good time, even with lack of smoke.

I did see Bruce Mallison and Mark Chapple,(pioneers of Cummins power) were there, grinning ear to ear. No doubt planting the seeds of future smoke trees.

There was a sled, but only one truck was hooked to it, and they did not film it very well.

There was music in the background, but I have a feeling all the mufflers were still in place.

Somebody shot at a fake deer with an imaginary gun, and darned if it did not go down.

I may have missed them, bit I'm pretty sure there were NO STACKS.

:--) :D

No, it wasn't mislabled!

In typical Stacked and Jacked fashion, Eric thinks the only TDR Rallys that ever happened, were the ones he attended! LOL:D

Yea that one brings back memories, it was my 1st TDR rally. I know we all had a great time. The '96 was only 8 months old, and it was totally stock then, but it wasn't that way long after that! The truck pulling the sled was a factory truck, and everyone had a shot at pulling it for distance, the winner got one of the many tires burned down to the steel belts. I also remember at the end of the tape it showed most of the trucks heading out on the longest and biggest convoys I had ever seen. We went from. Louis almost to Kansas City for a Nascar super truck race. Guess I should get it out and look at it.
