Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 1997 Cpl 2308

I have searched the Index of CPLs for Dodge Ram Diesels, and I do not find any listing or information on CPL 2308.



My truck is a 1997 Dodge W250 2x2 5 speed, it is a California version with an EGR.



Can anyone provide the details for this engine. Was this California model so weird that they did not want to publish the details?

Good idea, but I think it is a 180hp variety. the data tag should provide timing, displacement, fuel rate @ max HP, etc, etc.

I did discover from the data plate that it is a 180HP, and a service bulletin suggests that it becomes a CPL 2174 after a change, but I will have to reread the bulletin.

CPL 2174 is the 180 hp (automatic ) version of the 2175 - 215 hp (std trans )1997 California CPL should be 1863 (EGR) Shadrach
