That's good to know. Did you use a Cummins sender?

As I understand that the oil pressure sensor only has two wires going to it. So your problem mite be a ground problem. The wires going to the sensor are not ground wires(not my 96 any way) I have read a thread you need to one or both (sorry senior moment) rub emery paper and/ or brake ( disc / drum ) cleaning fluid around the threads. This where the oil pressure sensor grounds to. You mite use an other type of ceaner.

After market O/P sender, but IMO it doesn't make any difference.
