Sorry if this is the wrong section. How does 12,500 sound for a 3500 4x4 slt with 118,000 miles. Its in good shape other than needing the right side dually fender replaced.

Thanks in advance for your help, Shannon

I think thats a fair deal, around here you cant find a clean 94 CTD with under 140K for under 12K. Id jump on it,if it was local I would have already bought it.

Shannon, sounds like it is just broke in. Check under the exhaust manifold on the passengers side of the block to make sure there is no anti freeze leaks from a cracked block. Also check the lift pump pressure. You will also need to get the killer dowel pin tabbed. Go for it.

Thanks for the help so soon, what is involved with the dowel pin tabbed. This if goes well will be my 2nd cummins. My 03 will go to my wife and I will get to play with the 98 24 valve.

Thanks again Shannon

if your not aware. . that fender you talk about is a cool grand to buy from the dealer [$1000. 00  ]

auto or 5 sp. ? ... if a 5 sp might be needing a 5th gear nut repair soon.

also agree about checking the lift pump pressure.

I understand from what I read on another thread that you have to replace them something about they are not very easy to repair/stay repaired?? So add in $1000 for the fender to the price so you know the true cost. Sounds like you might have to spend a few $$ on her after you get her but cost per mile will be way less than your 03, because I am sure the 03 cost you $30,000 plus. Let us know how it goes. Your having more fun than I am with vehicles. My wife has me selling her Toyota Landcruiser that I love and have cared for the last 6 plus years and she wants to buy a VW New Beatle (YELLOW) :( it will be a diesel if I can find one ;)

Why replace the fender? You can pick up clean 3500 take off beds around here for 1000-1500 bucks complete and in great shape. Some of them are brand new. Then sell your bed for 500 or so to someone whe needs just the good fender,or a tailgate, and lights. It shouldnt take more than an hr or 2 to swap beds. If your lucky you may even find the same color, and not have to paint the bed. Thats what I would do if the fender is 1000 new.
