There's no difference in tailpipes on the 98 diesel trucks. They are all the same...

It is a 12-valve truck, the 8th digit being a "D" identifies the engine. If it was a 24-valve, it would be a 6. Also, this truck was built in St. Louis.

Seems like a good buy.
 
beat me to it evan , i emailed the guy , its a 12 valve , to bad i'm no longer in the market to buy a 98 12V , swap in my heated leather seats , and the front brakes and rear brake drums and hubs and off my 24 valver , but its tempting , then i could be a member of the belching smoke club #ad
... wait i am a member of that club , i put the DD3's back in #ad
