Attention: TDR Forum Junkies My truck just dies going down the road , it completly shuts down . But in a minute it will crank and usually runs fine. It may do it twice in same day , or it may be two weeks. I have a fuel pressure gauge,and the fuel pressure after the filter stays at 14 psi at idle and full throttle never drops below 10 Psi . I have allready changed the cam sensor, and considering the crank sensor, but i get no codes for these when i pull the codes . I am thinking the apps. . Has any one ever heard of these maybe causing a sparatic shutdown problem. It always seems to do this on the Highway at around 70 Mph. Usually when i step on the gas hard on a back road it may do it. But i can't make it do it , it just an erratic thing usually when i least expect it. Its been happenning for a 2 months.
So far i have changed cam sensor , cleaned iat sensor, unplugged fpcm plug and cleaned, put new dielectric grease on the connectors. I get two codes when this happens a p1693 and a p1688 code. I only get these codes when problem arrives. THe P1693 is a internal fuel injection pump controller failure.
and the p1688 is a dtc exists in jtec mode. temperature doesn't matter when it happens. Oo. Oo.

My truck is a1998. 5 24valve 4 wheel drive , i live in sc ,temp 140,000 miles on truck , automatic , no modifications. k+n filter , superchips programmer
