2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 1998 Price When NEW ???

I'm curious as to how much my truck cost when it was new. Since I bought it used, I don't have any papers for it when it was new.

It's an loaded SLT 4x4.

Mine is a quad cab, with cloth seats, but with most everything else. The sticker price was in the 34k range. I bought ours in 2000 for 24k and change. The original window sticker is still in the glove box.

I'd say the MSRP was between 34 to 35K. If you know the dealer from where it was originally purchased, maybe they can look it up with the vin number.

I got every option except the auto, I wanted a 5 speed. :-laf

Mine's a long bed club cab with auto; otherwise they are much the same. I believe the price was a little over $28K when I ordered it. I think I paid a total of $31K or so when it arrived some 12 weeks later.

I ordered my 98 QC 12V, with everything including leather,every option, auto, SLT Group, Air, infinity Sound and it was delivered to VacaVille California and I have the original
sticker that shows the truck was built for me and it reads $34,405. 00. Now, thats not out the door.

Let me dig out the original window sticker and sales slip... Attached (VIN redacted). I guess time colored my memory; I paid more than I thought. Da bastiges! Dey took me! I'm suin'! Den I'll sic Gino da Cracka on 'em! Dey'll know who's da boss when I get trew wit' 'em! (Errrrr... . Ahem. )

It never occured to me to keep the window sticker. I gave $15k and a 92 D350 auto with 70,000 miles on it for mine. All in all, under $30k.

Mine is a '98 SLT Quad 3500 2wd 12 valve auto. No leather or fancy sound (except the motor) but almost every other option. Dealer in Winfield, Kansas ordered it for me. Sticker was 33,955, less 700 Dodge discount for actual sticker of 33,255. Paid 29,787 out the door with no trade. I was living in northern Virginia at the time and the dealers there were putting a 2K sticker mark up on their Cummins pickups.

Saw the sheet for my '97. IIRC, the MSRP was ~$40-42k. What it actually sold for, I don't know. Mid to high 30s would be my guess.

Leather, power seats and fog lights are pretty much the only factory options it didn't come with.
