Hey for you all looking for a 98 quad cab 2500 12v,,looks very nice but the color sucks..... Also, bid is at 18k and many days left. prob will hit 20, no flame intended but before anyone pays that they must get the crack pipe out... . 98's are not that important. . more door jams to repaint later on lol

I read it was a 24V.

Yep its a 24 valve. Just look at the picture when its blown up and you can see its the 24v badge.

It looks like a 12 valve to me. I cant make out the words on the badge but it looks like three red blurs like the "cummins turbo diesel" with out the 24 valve.

According to the VIN, the 8th digit is a D which I understood meant 12v engine

My eyes read it as "CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL". My 24V badge has one more, (24 VALVE) in it. Moose

That is not a 24V. eBay doesn't know that the 12V was an option in 98. When you list a 98 turbo diesel, it automatically lists it as a 24V. That truck was for sale a couple months back on eBay, but the reserve was not met.
