2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 1998 slt 2500 lwb

had a question to you truck guru's, I have found a truck for sale its a 98 2500 slt, lwb. has beefed up transmission, over 5 grand in upgrades to transmission, bigger tq converter not sure what else, has 103,000 on the clock, guy wants 15000. 00 bank said they will go 12000 on it, sounds like I might be getting a steal, its an auto also.



what you guys think? My dad has seen the truck, one of our county officials has it and he doesn't need it anymore.

Priced right or what?

You can shop NADA or Kelly BB to check price. I would think a clean 98 QC 4x4 would be worth $15 not real sure on a 2WD. 12 valve right? What kind of "Beefed up" auto?

It is a 4x4, slt loaded power everything, and im not sure if its the 24v or 12v engine as i have not checked it out yet, my father has looked the truck over. if its a 12v i will be even happier, my understanding on the transmission is triple tq converter with upgraded valve body, not sure what else.
