This is a 1999 Dodge RAM 2500 Quad Cab CTD 4x4 with automatic transmission. The truck currently has 403,830 miles. I am the second owner of the truck; the truck was bought new by the first owner with 17 miles on the odometer. It's an SLT Laramie equipped with power windows, power door locks, power and heated mirrors, fog lamps, tilt steering wheel, intermittent wipers, cruise control, am/fm/cd/cassette stereo, air conditioning, automatic transmission, 4WD, passenger airbag. The flip-down console is broken but still useable as can be seen in the pics. The headliner is a little dirty but is still intact and not drooping anywhere. The driver's seat has above average wear as pictured. The driver's side door panel has a hole near the grab handle; I'm currently working on finding a replacement door panel. The rest of the seating and interior are in above average condition in my opinion. One map light is inoperative. The truck has some hail damage and light scratches as pictured. Ironically the paint is still in good condition. The l/f headlight has a touch of condensation inside it. The l/f fender has a small dent as pictured. The l/r bedside has a small crease as pictured. The r/r taillight is cracked but useable. You need not worry about sinking any money in the front end as it's already been done... ... . All four ball joints are nice and tight and have been replaced recently. The front axle u-joints are also in great condition. All tie rods are tight and have zero play. The truck has a brand new track bar and steering gear box. I recently had an alignment performed and the truck does not pull and the steering wheel is centered nicely. The rear tires are at the treadwear bars and the fronts are the wrong load rating. It has a 3. 54 axle ratio with anti-spin rear end. The truck also has the Camper Special package which includes overload rear springs with rear sway bar. The a/c does a good job and 4HIGH and 4LOW work good. The transmission also shifts firm and well. This ol' truck didn't make it to 403k miles being abused!!!! I've driven it about 400 or 500 miles since I've owned it and would not be afraid to hit the road in it with a new / used set of tires installed.

Hey guys..... this ol' truck is a GREAT truck despite the perceptions regarding the mileage. This past Friday, it averaged (hand calculated) 17. 01 mpg during a small haul. I was towing a 2007 Dodge RAM 1500 Regular Cab 2wd 3. 7 V6/manual transmission truck from Swannanoa, NC to Clinton, TN. Anyhow, on this calculation, 77. 1 miles were truck only, 243. 1 miles were truck and a 2007 GatorMade 16+2 car hauler (1850 lbs), 144. 5 miles loaded (around 6410 lbs combined RAM 1500 and trailer) and 121. 0 miles back home dragging the empty trailer from TN. I was running the a/c all the time and there was average speeds of 70+/- mph except through a section of I-40 through the mountains of NC near the TN line.

You'd really have to drive this truck to appreciate it!!!!!

In addition, I performed another contract hauling job today. I hauled a 2006 BMW X-5 SUV from Manheim in Statesville, NC to a dealer in Maynardville, TN. The 1999 RAM 2500 has another 702 miles under it's belt as of this evening. It's now clocking in at 405,252... ... ... .

Yes it is..... current mileage is 411,XXX and I just repaired the map lights in the overhead console yesterday. I made a recent run to Greenville, SC last Thursday picking up a 1976 MGB with my 2007 GatorMade 16+2 car hauler and netted a hand-calculated 17. 48 mpg..... nice ol' truck in my opinion.
