I have a 99 4-wheel drive that has an aftermarket Jake Brake that quit working, now the 4-wheel drive won't work either, is there a reason both would quit at the same time.

HVAC stuck on defrost too?

Trace the hose coming out of the vacuum pump (stuck to the back of the power steering pump) and look for holes. I remember that there was a common wear point somewhere along the line, but not its exact location.

Yes it is. Usually goes bad at the elbow leaving the vacuum pump. Mine has dry rotted several times. Should be easy and cheap to track down and fix.

Thank you all who responded to my post, it was in fact the vacuum line that had a crack in it, and was an easy fix.
Thank You all for the help
