Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 1st and 2nd gen crankshaft

bought a 96' 3500 truck that spun a rod bearing , wanted to know if a crank from a 92 cummins is the same as the 96'

They should be the same, I wouldnt think it would cost to much to turn the crank and rr the rod though.

crank is toast and rod is also, had them both checked, crank can be welded but dont want to go that route as this engine will be bombed a little.
