1st Gen Body Types

Hi All,



Did the 1st gens have a 250 4x4 extended cab with a 6ft bed option? Or was it only 8ft beds?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that all of this extended/crew cab-shortbed stuff started 'til, ~98??? I've never seen or herd of a First Gen shortbed in any combination.

There is a nice pic of a deep-red '89 or '90 on the home page of this site, from time to time. Has some nice graphics... . you know the one. It was a wrecked truck the guy built with a club cab and short bed. In short; (pun intended) it's a custom build. I don't think there was a club cab with the short bed then.

Living in half ton gasser weenie hell, I have seen 1/2t shortbed excabs. No 3/4 or 1tons, though. Dodge held out till 98 to weenify the HD pickups. Though a shortbed crew cab dually might not look so bad. But then it is a dually, so that's tough looking anyway.
