Ok guys and gal's I have a major problem no low beams , or tail lights but when I hit dimmer switch high beams work fine but still no low tail or dash lights ???????? help me please I have checked all fuses and nothing is bad I still have brake lights thou ? Any Idea's this is on 85 crew cab / 93 from dash encluding wireing harness foward 4x4 truck . I will be looking extra hard at fuseable links tomorrow but this 1 has me stumped :{

All I can think of at the moment is check to see if the bulkhead conector is secure and the conector on the head light switch I had problems with corostion on the bulk head wiring and had lighting problems once

(I'm not shure how much diferent a 93 is from a 85, but the wiring on my 85 was simple)

Lights ?

Do you have a schematic? Test lite? Meter? You want to check and tighten the grounds. Fuses ALL good? With a test lite you can check power at each end

of a fusable link. To test lite circuit I usually start at the end not working where power should be and work my way back to the point where I find power. Then you have found the little villian. Good Luck RC

Sounds like you are in need of a new light switch. I had a simular problem with mine. Autozone has a switch with a guarantee, don't remember the price though. If you have any old Dodges laying around it is the same as all the old pull type switches. The problem comes from pulling to much juice through the switch, todays new bulbs, not to mention lights on a trailer, are pulling way more amperage than the switch that was designed back in the 60's can handle. I plan on putting all of my running lights and brake lights on relays, my headlights are all ready on a bright box.

headlight troubles

OK go figure this 1 out checked all fuses and they r good took a extra headlight and hooked it up and it works fine :{ looks to me like I lost front n rear running lights and dash lights and low beams but everything else works i'm still working on dash lights Oo.
