Broken Power Adjustment Screw??

Hello and happy holidays to all. I've kind of caught the BOMBing bug, and using alot of info from TDR members have made the following upgrades so far. 3. 5" exhaust, Full gauges, amsoil oil and air filter, -the pump settings are stock so far. I also have a set of PW injectors that I haven't installed yet. My question is this, I've read several times on this board that to get the most benefit from these injectors that you have to have the injector pump timing changed/advanced. I'm confident I can do the injector install myself, but if the pump timing and/or engine timing needs to be changed, I may have a shop do it all at once. Also, I will be servicing the transmission soon and was curious if any of you have turned up the line pressures? How much did you adjust and how do you like it? FWIW my truck runs very well now, and I'm after reliable upgrades to increase driving fun and towing performance. Any opinions would be welcome. Thanks.

PS- Is my truck still under warranty w/77k miles?

Hey Terry it could be under warrenty!!! I bought mine used and was not aware of the 7 yr. engine warrenty. I believe that the warranty starts on the day the truck is delivered from the dealer to the buyer. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that they call this the in-service date. This would be the day the clock starts running on the warranty.

As far as mods go you are off to a great start. The one thing that I found made the greatest difference so far for me was adjusting the diaphram and star wheel. Evidently mine was WAY out as far as optimum setting go, so this really woke up my truck. It is located under the TPS on the top of the pump. Check other threads on here to see a full detailed description of what I did. I think you will be surprised.

P. S. How do you like your amsoil air filter??

Your truck may very well still be under warranty. A friend of mine has a 93 W350 and earlier this spring (he was 3 months from the 7 years and had @70,000 miles on it)his injection pump was leaking fuel on the back side. He asked me to come and help him pull the pump to get it fixed. He had the hood up and the tools ready and I asked if he had called the dealer. He asked why and I told him it may still be under warranty. He reluctantly called them and they fied it at no charge to him. I was really pleased that they honored the 7 yr. 100,000 mile warranty. There are still a few good dealers around.

Howdy. Don't forget to upgrade to a 16cm or 14cm turbo exhaust housing. I do a lot of heavy towing and went with the 16cm. Less concerns about EGT's than the 14cm which is a little snappier. You'll love the injectors and I absolutely agree about having the timing set at the same time.

make your own injr puller use nut and 6''
bolt and use a small metal pipe that fits
on bolt and put washer on end of bolt ,screw nut on injr end thenbolt 2 nut
so they r but 2 but,, little slided w/ pipe
on bolt will pull injr
a must take off banjo brass clips on drain lines, and those small bolts, or u loose them, also dont need to pull fuel lines
i just removed front hold down brackets
rear line i was able to move a little out of way. injr need to line up when going in hole so fiel line will fit to side of them
