The carpet in '92 W350 is pretty much used up and want to install a rubber mat. I've been eyeing the offerings from JC Whitney but am unsure.

The previous owner intalled an NV 5600 6 speed transmission in this truck so the hole for the shifter was moved. I would need a mat for a automatic truck then cut the holes for the transmission and transfer case shift levers myself.

My question is. Are the transmission humps the same size on all 1st gen trucks, manual, auto, four wheeldrive and two wheeldrive?

Is there an alternative to the Whitney mats available?

Thanks.

I used a rubber mat from ACC (Auto Custom Carpets), I'm pretty sure there web site is www.accmats.com I was impressed at how well molded it was, almost too molded. They use factory floor pans and mold them to that, they come uncut so you trim for any shifters and around the edges. The only thing I wished was better, is that they would have left more material at the back. My truck doesn't have the plastic tray in the back, if it did it wouldn't have been a problem. The mat came up and inch or two short, but its behind the seat so no one can see it. One good thing about the ACC mat is it's all one piece over the whole floor, unlike the factory one that's 3 pieces and only covers the front and sides. I can probably take a picture of it, if someone needs to see it.
