Had my first oil analysis done recently. It sounds like I'm in pretty good shape but I'm not really sure what all the data means. Can I trust the recommendation to go 5-7000 miles until my next change?

Keep each oil analysis to track the internal condition of your motor most companys will recommend increased milage between oil changes if everything is within limits
I worked for a truck leasing company and we experimented with oil changes we had one fleet of 100 tractors that never changed oil only had services at set mileage filters and lube and oil sample this fleet put more then a millon miles on each tractor each tractor had a oil keep full system that added oil if needed
Out of 100 trucks only 1 had engine problems due to a unrepaired oil leak which burnt up bearings
Oil doesnt go bad it becomes contaminated

Those iron numbers are very low, along with all of the other wear metals. I'm changing mine at 7k with good results, I have it sampled every time I change it.

Run it for 5k and test again. The long hyped 3k oil changes don't apply to these trucks.

you can easily go 7500 miles. may even be safe up to 15K, pending how you drive it. today's oil are rated for 500+ hours of service. i change my early 04 around 7500-9000 miles, or once a year. and i use cheap oil too, tractor supply Travellers oil, and 245K no oile issues, no leaks, no burning oil, it's a great engine, and very easy on oil. most important thing is try and get engine up to operating temp every time you drive it, seeings how i have a 12 mile trip to make it to town, mine is usually warm when i get there.
