I believe the filter holds more then a quart and you can put more then a gallon in the containers. 3/4 turn is what I read and did.

That's exactly right. If you take your time and fill it with a little patience, you can get a little over a quart in there.

The plastic 6-in-1 from Genos is crap. It broke after the first "gorilla oil change". I'll be getting one of those alum ones for next time.

I don't know about the other years, but I checked the filter that awaits my '04. The wrench that fit my '94 Jeep V8 fits the Cummins filter. :)

wrench

just got oil filter off:mad: would like to get the mex that put it on in an alley ( they must sit around and laugh about how tight they can get on with out stripping the threads). rag on wrench, pound on to filter, 16" cheater bar and some swearing, but finaly came loose. waiting for jh to get that turned wrench on the classified. ;)

Dean,

I still have the slugs cut up and sitting on the bench :-laf

I'm gonna get another batch of filter sockets machined up later this week or early next and then get on the fuel filter caps. Programs and tooling are already proved out for those.

Had to lay off most of my help when RCA shut down and now I'm lacking help to get the new customers serviced#@$%!

It'll all balance back out ... ... ... I hope!

At MM this year, Dennis Hurst (?) from Cummins gave a nice talk about the 325/600. Those guys have been listening to us. Some body (me) mentioned the mid-west GO-rilla and the oil filter and he told us that it had been addressed... :)

I never did like having a quart left in the third Delo 400 gallon. Don't everybody boycott Geno's, just because of a managmental brainfart. They have good workerbees and still provide us with quality parts. Besides, it got Jeff back onto the boards... :D

They have about the worst filter wrench I have used. The plastic

6 in 1. Also the headlight protection kit is almost impossible to put on. Mine ended up in the trash. I think I want to see what I am buying from now on.

Also the plastic filter wrench is at Walmart, cheaper and no shipping. Still would not buy it though.

Curious, not to say that a custom wrench isn't a "nice tool" to be enjoyed.

But I've got a stamped steel wrench from my Jeep (Mopar 5. 2/318 in it) that looks similar, fits the Cummins filter, and has the same 3/8" drive. I bought it from pep-boys for a couple bucks.

Am I missing something? Is there some downside to the cheap metal one that would send me buying Jeff's? Or that would make me want to try plastic first?
