Tuesday we got blessed with about 18" of white stuff. Plows never came till 9pm. Work was closed. Kids off school. Time to PLAY!!!

Now for the fun story, water pump died on the neighbors jeep. He called his brother-in-law with the "Big Phord PSD" wrecker. He loaded up the jeep and went sliding down the road, right into somebody's yard. Pushed himself out with the hydralic bed and then slid right off the other side, but couldn't get out. Guess who's "Little Dodge" dragged him out to the main road??? #ad

Isn't that a blast? We have been blessed with snow this year already! I spent 5 hours on my lawn tractor (42" blade) plowing the driveway yesterday. I always carry a strap with me to pull out whatever might be stuck. Last year I got to shame a wrecker when it couldn't pull a 1 ton crew cab chevy with a large diesel welder in the back - the wrecker was just sliding. I pulled it out in 4-low 1st at idle! The wrecker driver was very embarrased. I usually make a few hundred bucks every winter pulling people out. If you haven't heard of it you should check out the Great Lakes Turbo Diesel Registry at http://gltdr.org . We're having a ton of fun events in the area.

I got a pull out story.
Today, I got a call that a guy needed pulled out. So I fire up the old diesel and head over there. It turns out that a guy that lives down the road has his semi stuck in his yard. He just needs to get over a bump and he will be out. He already spun his tires quite a bit on the snow and frozen ground. I back up to him and hook a tow strap to his truck and put it in low gear, and pull him out easy as cake. Also made $50 doin it. #ad

I just wish he had a trailer so I could claim to be able to pull as much as a chevy tracker.

I ran into a guy a few years ago with a 2500 4x4 who told me he used his all the time to pull out stuck snowmobiles,I thought that was a pretty good one.

Finally lotsa snow to plow. Pulled out several stuck plowers.

Yanked a 12V sideways across a pile of packed snow he high centered on trying to push it across a median. He got out of the truck and said "Man, that's a strong running truck ... I didn't think it could pull me out sideways like that. "

Drug an old gasser across a parking lot. Just put in gear and let it walk. Afterwards he realized he never disengaged the parking brake. Slide marks all the way. I never even applied throttle except a little to get it moving. Obviously the snow on the ground helped a bit.

Fun...

Now to go fix all the little stuff I broke; backing into snow drifts, etc, I really should take those $200 wheel rings off before I go plowing. Could someone please remind me next time? I always dent them.
