Newbie here. I've been lurking for a few weeks. I bought a 96' 2500 5spd to tow my Jeep to/from events. Interesting to see that Chrysler moved their vaccuum disconnect from the Jeeps to the bigdogs. This weekend I'll be replacing the waterpump and hoses as preventive maintenance. How hard are the valves to set? Is this a good time for the KDP? Anything to watch out for? Where's the best place for to buy a Thermostat?
 
There's a local place called the Power Shop. I went there last week looking into power mods. He mentioned the 5th gear nut. Chrysler is on its 4th generation of locknuts instead of fixing the problem. According to the Power Shop a company in Texas has fixed the problem and will sell a rebuilt transmission w/core. These upgraded transmission's will supposedly take about any power mod that can be thrown at it.
